The general nature of the work is paving the streets in Wiota with a two-inch overlay of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA), 2600 tons. This includes associated pavement scarification of 3550 square yards, granular surfacing of drives and shoulders, ADA accommodations, and PCC curb and gutter (non-standard). The project also includes the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices. Instructions to bidders: Plans and specifications are available to download free of charge online, or may be obtained from WHKS & Co. for a refundable deposit. Partial sets will not be available from the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, certified share draft, or bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. Preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa. Bidders returning full sets of bidding documents in good condition within 10 days after receipt of bids will receive a full refund; non-bidders and those obtaining more than one set will also receive a refund for documents returned in good condition within the time limit. Owner anticipates that the Project's total bid price will be approximately $320,000.
