Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Marshall, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Repair of the Marshall Facility Water service line. Last day to submit written questions for clarification to TMD at Procurement@military.texas.gov. 6/19/2026 2:00 PM Readiness Center (RC) Repairs a. Contractor shall excavate at asphalt leaving out 3 inch and 2 inch water lines b. Remove up to 20 feet of 3 inch schedule 40 PVC piping including Mechanical T and compression fittings from RC to the shutoff valve near the water meter. c. Replace up to 20 feet of 3 inch schedule 40 PVC to include 1.25 inch T to serve FMS building. d. Contract shall bed piping and fittings e. Contractor shall add concrete thrust blocks as needed after verification of city water pressure. f. Contractor shall remove and utilize the 2 inch PVC piping along the collage of fittings service the FMS g. Contractor shall re-serve service to the FMS building 1.25 polyethylene pipe and use removed 2 inch PVC piping as a sleeve. h. Contractor shall install two (2) new ball valves i. Contractor shall install one (1) on the 3 inch line servicing the Readiness Center (RC) ii. Contractor shall install one (1) on the 1.25 inch line serving the FMS iii. Contractor hsall provide traffic rated valve boxes for new valves i. Contractor shall inspect gas lines for any damages or visible leaks and coordinate with the gas service to inspect and verify the gas lines meet safety and commercial requirements j. Contractor shall pressure test new lines, backfill, and compact any excavation. D. Field Maintenance Shop (FMS) Repairs a. Contractor shall saw-cut and remove concrete patch b. Contractor shall hand exavate to expose the existing piping. c. Contractor shall remove portions of existing piping to allow usage as a sleeve for the new 1.25 inch polyethylene pipe. d. Contractor shall saw-cut and chip out the slab at the existing 2 inch riser interior to the building. e. Contractor shall remove a section of the riser from the existing gate valve to below the slab and replace. f. Contractor shall add a valve exterior to the building with traffic rated valve box. g. Contractor shall pressure test new lines, backfill and compact any excavation. h. Contractor shall replace concrete at the traffic surface and riser.
