The Town of Cornelius is seeking a qualified firm to provide planning services for intersection improvements at the Bailey Road (SR 2416) and Highway 115 (Old Statesville Rd) intersection. This is a complex intersection with railroad tracks (future Red Line) immediately adjacent as well as Hough High School and Bailey Middle School just to the east. The westbound Bailey Road leg is the intersection that sees the most congestion primarily during pick-up and drop-off times for Hough High School and Bailey Middle School. However, the study needs to look at all four approaches.
