Renovation of a mixed-use development in Durham, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Provide all labor, personnel, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, and related services necessary to upgrade the Community Living Center (CLC) kitchen fire suppression system in accordance with NFPA 96 standards for ventilation control and fire protection of commercial cooking operations. Work includes removal of the existing Amerex system and installation of an ANSUL system within the kitchen hood, ensuring proper coverage of the duct and plenum with nozzles and detection systems. The contractor is responsible for performing all required electrical work, sealing all hood penetrations with liquid-tight or grease-tight welds, and completing any necessary modifications such as access panel installation. Services must be conducted on-site, after hours or on weekends, and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations. The contractor must also provide drawings and obtain permits, while coordinating with VA personnel for fire alarm disconnection and reconnection.
