The City of Lompoc is looking for qualified applicants to furnish all labor, materials, mobilization, equipment, tools, and services to rehabilitate Well 8 to City and State Standards and Specifications. These specifications represent features best suited to the intended use of the department. Judgment of the exceptions is to rest with City of Lompoc Purchasing Division. Bid security shall consist of a bond issued by a licensed and duly qualified corporate surety, or the equivalent in cash, money order, cashier's check, certified check, unconditional letter of credit, or other form satisfactory to the City Attorney. Bond shall be payable to the order of the City, amounting to ten percent (10%) of the bid, or by a bond in said amount and payable to said City, signed by the bidder and a corporate surety, or by the bidder and two sureties who shall justify before any officer competent to administer oaths, in double said amount over and above all statutory exemption. Performance Bond: Successful bidder shall furnish within eight (8) consecutive calendar days after written Notice of Award, a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the contract. In the event the bidder to whom an award is made fails or refuses to perform under or to execute the contract, if required, within eight (8) calendar days from the date of receiving notification of award, the City may declare the bidder's bid deposit or bond forfeited as damages caused by the failure of the bidder to enter into the contract, and may award to the next lowest bidder, or may call for new bids. Labor and Materials Bond: Successful bidder shall furnish within eight (8) consecutive calendar days after written Notice of Award, a Labor and Materials Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the contract.
