The Town of Arlington seeks written price quotations, in accordance with M.G.L. c. 149, 44A(2)(B), from qualified contractors to furnish and install clutch operated light filtering window shades at Robbins Library, 700 Massachusetts Ave, Arlington, MA. Robbins Library is a 50,000 square foot building, with window shades in both staff and public areas. This project includes shades located at the lower level, ground level and two upper levels of the building. Work shall include all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to furnish and install approximately 109 clutch-operated window shades and removal and proper disposal of existing shades. Shades shall be at 3% light openness with fascia covers. Shade color and finish shall be selected by the Owner from the manufacturer's standard options. All materials shall comply with National Fire Protection Association 701, MA H4900, and all other applicable state and local codes. Contractor shall provide warranty information covering materials and workmanship (minimum 1 year), and all manufacturer warranties shall be passed through to the Owner. Prevailing Wage Rates, as determined by the Director of the Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards in accordance with M.G.L. c. 149, 26 to27H, apply to this project. The wage rates specified for this project are attached hereto. The awarded contractor shall be required to execute the Town of Arlington's Standard Contract, and a Labor Harmony Certificate, both attached hereto for reference.
