Description

Renovation of a library in Arlington, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 50,000-square-foot library.

The project involves the furnishing and installation of clutch operated light filtering window shades at Robbins Library, 700 Massachusetts Ave, Arlington, MA. It includes all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to furnish and install approximately 109 clutch-operated window shades and the removal and proper disposal of existing shades. The shades must be at 3% light openness with fascia covers, and the color and finish will be selected by the Owner from standard manufacturer options. All materials must comply with National Fire Protection Association 701, MA H4900, and all other applicable state and local codes. Warranty information covering materials and workmanship (minimum 1 year) must be provided, with all manufacturer warranties passed through to the Owner. Persons submitting a price quotation must attend a building walkthrough to verify existing conditions, field measurements, and shade quantities. If the contract price exceeds $25,000, a payment bond equal to 50% of the contract price must be submitted. Prevailing Wage Rates apply to this project. The awarded contractor will be required to execute the Town's Standard Contract and a Labor Harmony Certificate. The contract will be awarded to the responsible contractor offering the lowest price. Price quotations must be submitted along with a minimum of three references.
