The City of Visalia is requesting proposals from qualified firms who can provide engineering design services for the AC and Boiler Replacement Project at Visalia’s Water Reclamation Facility Laboratory. The selected firm will provide comprehensive design and engineering services, including coordination of all necessary architectural, structural, electrical and control systems as well as constructable plans and specifications. The City’s Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) is located at 7579 Ave. 288 in Visalia. The WRF Laboratory building’s A/C system is more than 20 years old and requires replacement. Due to its complexity, the project will involve significant redesign work. Additionally, the heating boiler system, also over 20 years old and located next to the AC System must be replaced concurrently as the location of the boiler would severely restrict future maintenance access once the A/C is upgraded. The services to be provided by the Consultant include engineering design services that will result in complete, buildable, Construction Documents including Improvement Plans, Construction Specifications, and an Engineer’s Estimate of probable construction costs.
