This is a Sources Sought Notice. It is posted for the purpose of gathering market research information. Repair of approximately 300 linear feet of concrete cracking at the Alert Pad apron pavement and removal and replacement of 5,000 linear feet of existing apron expansion joint. Work includes identifying and marking cracks designated for repair, cleaning cracks using a handheld cutting saw with precise cuts following the crack line, routing, blowing out with compressed air, and vacuuming to remove debris, vegetation, and loose material to ensure surfaces are dry and free of contaminants. Cracks shall be filled with a PCC-compatible, FAA-approved sealant suitable for aircraft pavement loading and fuel-resistant environments, then tooled or leveled to achieve a smooth, flush finish and allowed proper curing time before reopening to aircraft traffic. Work also includes saw cutting and removal of existing joint filler, sealant, and deteriorated concrete along joint edges, followed by cleaning and preparation of joint surfaces to ensure proper adhesion. New joint filler material meeting FAA specifications shall be installed, along with application of a fuel-resistant, FAA-approved joint sealant. Joint width, depth, and profile must meet design requirements, and all joints shall be finished flush with surrounding pavement while ensuring proper movement capability.
