The scope of work is the rehabilitation of one home located in Cherokee County. Work includes carpentry, drywall and finish, plumbing, flooring, paint and finish, electrical, and appliances. All work must be completed according to the work write-up and finished within 15 working days. Work should begin within two weeks of notification or liquidated damages of $100.00 per day will be charged for each day of extension over the contract end date. Instructions to bidders: To be considered, bidders must fully complete both the Mandatory Bid Response sheet and the Work Write Up. Bids may be emailed or hand delivered as specified. Bidders are responsible for timely delivery; late bids will not be considered. Bids will be accepted from Indian and Non-Indian bidders. Indian preference will be given only to those providing proof of current certification from the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employments Office (TERO), which must be included with the bid. The successful bidder must comply with Tribal rules and regulations, TERO, and applicable fees. Award will be made to the responsible contractor providing the lowest, most responsive bid, subject to the HACN Procurement Policy and availability of funds. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 30 days after the due date. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Applicable wage rate and Buy American provisions apply, and HUD contract conditions and forms must be reviewed and accepted as part of the bid submission.
