This project will be federally funded by the U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Department through the Texas General Land Office (GLO) via contract #24-065-004-E161. Bidders shall comply with regulations governing the CDBG Regional Mitigation Program (Regulation 24 CFR 570). Applicable requirements include but are not limited to compliance with the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, Fair Labor Standards, Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action, Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968, and contracting with small, minority, and disadvantaged firms, as detailed in the project manual. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. 1.1. This contract shall provide for construction of drainage improvements for Jefferson County Drainage District No. 6 in the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas. The project is funded by CDBG-MIT MOD grant funding. 1.2. The intent of these Contract Documents is to provide for construction and completion, in every detail, of the work described herein and in the plans. It is further intended that the Contractor shall furnish all necessary superintendence, labor, equipment, tools, materials, safety measures, environmental protection, disposal of surplus items, site restoration, and all other related construction to complete the work in accordance with the plans, specifications, and terms of the Contract.
