Sealed proposals are requested for improvements to Blackridge Playground. The base bid includes providing all materials and labor required to construct the improvements shown on the contract drawings and specified in the documents, as well as additional materials and work described in the bid form. The project involves temporary construction fencing, tree protection, erosion and sedimentation control, site clearing, selective site removals, site utilities, storm drainage, site construction layout, grading, site preparation, bituminous paving and resurfacing, concrete paving, concrete flush curb, site preparation and aggregate base course for synthetic turf play surfacing, line striping, stormwater rain gardens, signage, pavilion electrical work, miscellaneous site improvements, installation of owner-furnished site furnishings, topsoil, planting and seeding, and site restoration. The base bid also includes coordination with the owner's separate contractor who will provide play equipment, picnic pavilion, and synthetic turf surfacing. Add Alternate No. 1 includes installation of bituminous paving for walking paths. Add Alternate No. 2 includes installation of concrete paving for walking paths and a picnic table pad, as well as installation of an owner-furnished picnic table. All proposals must be submitted electronically and must include a certified check or bidder's bond in the amount of 10% of the total proposal as bid security. Proposals remain firm for 60 days and may not be withdrawn within this period without forfeiting the bid guarantee. Successful bidders must provide performance, maintenance, labor and material payment bonds, public liability, property damage certificates of insurance, and workman's compensation certificates as required. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities, and to award a contract for all or any portions of the work listed.
