The City of Irving Capital Improvements Department would like to invite local contractors to provide competitive sealed proposals for the work outlined in the following specifications. The work to be performed under this contract consists of furnishing all concrete, steel, appurtenances, tools, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary to install complete in place: A. One Thousand One Hundred Ninety-Six (1,196) LF of 8" PVC Wastewater main B. Thirteen (13) 4-foot diameter concrete manholes with 60 feet of vertical extra depth C. Seventy (70) LF of 16-inch steel casing by other than open cut The above listed work together will all associated appurtenances and other incidental items to complete this project will be installed in and around the following streets within the City of Irving: 1.) Clubhouse Place - Kensley N Shr Dr to Las Brisas Dr 2.) Las Brisas Dr - Clubhouse Pl to approximately 150' past Honfleur Ct as well as at the Belt Line Elevated Storage Tank located at 7600 N Belt Line Rd, Irving, TX 75063. Bidders are strongly encouraged to submit responses electronically. Prospective Proposers are encouraged to make a site visit. The city is currently in the process of acquiring permanent or temporary construction easements needed to complete the work associated with this project. The contractor may receive partial and/or delayed notice to proceed with construction. Contractors shall be required to submit TCPs for review and approval a minimum of 14 calendar days prior to implementation of same. The City shall have the authority to specify the sequence of construction for all work performed on this project and this shall be considered a non-pay item. Unless approved in writing by the Engineer, the Contractor shall always provide and maintain access to all commercial and/or residential driveways and cross streets during construction, and this shall be considered a non-pay item. The City will not reimburse the Contractor for any water used to perform the work as required in this contract. The Contractor shall review and understand the requirements for solid waste disposal (Section 01516) in the City of Irving.
