The project consists generally of the installation and tie-in of approximately 2,140 linear feet of 30-inch ductile iron restrained joint water pipeline including fire hydrants and other appurtenances; installation and tie-in of approximately 1,410 linear feet of 24-inch ductile iron restrained joint water pipeline including fire hydrants and other appurtenances; one 8-inch crossing to existing water main installed via jack and bore with fire hydrant assembly; and demolition of an 8-inch Pressure Reducing Valve and replacement with 12-inch ductile iron pipe on Marshburn Road. Bidders must register with the Engineer to obtain complete Bidding Documents. Electronic documents will be provided at no cost, and hard copies are available for a non-refundable fee. With each request, bidders must provide company name, contact person, address, phone number, email, North Carolina contractor's license with limitation and classification, and indicate if the firm is a Prime bidder, Supplier, or Sub-Contractor. Bidders must show evidence of appropriate licensing as required by North Carolina law. Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid and is subject to conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders. The City encourages participation of certified Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) and has a 15% participation goal for MWBEs on applicable projects.
