Bidders are expected to examine all instructions and specifications. Bids must be received on or before the specified closing time and submitted on provided forms, clearly marked. No oral, telephonic, telegraphic, or facsimile proposals will be accepted. Bidders are responsible for timely delivery of bids to the correct location. Any bid may be withdrawn before the closing time by written notice, but after closing, no bid may be withdrawn or canceled for 60 days. Bidders must provide a certificate of insurance naming Saginaw Township Community Schools as additional insured for commercial general liability insurance, as well as proof of Worker's Compensation coverage. Required policies must allow the District at least 30 days' notice of cancellation or material reduction. If the preferred General Liability insurance limit of $1,000,000 is not met, a letter of explanation must be included. Bidders must complete and include both the Familial Disclosure Affidavit and Iran Linked Business Affidavit. The bidder must substantiate a record of good performance and provide references from similar size accounts. It is the vendor's responsibility to inspect, service, or replace each portable fire extinguisher by walking each building. All work must conform to applicable Federal, State, Local, and school district standards and certifications (NFPA, DOT, Factory Certified). Required certifications must accompany the bid. Field technicians must wear identifying uniforms and ID badges. The District reserves the right to exclude anyone for noncompliance with this requirement.
