The City of Fayetteville is accepting sealed bids from contractors to improve approximately 5,650 linear feet of Hwy 112 (Garland Ave) from Poplar St to Drake St. Construction will consist of, but is not limited to, street widening, traffic signal modifications, utility relocations, storm drainage, sidewalk, a curbed median, and a roundabout. Each bid exceeding $50,000 shall be accompanied by a cashier's check from a bank doing business in the State of Arkansas or a corporate bid bond for five percent of the amount bid. One hundred percent (100%) performance and payment bonds are required after the contract award, including any approved contingency. Bidders shall have a valid State of Arkansas Contractor's License, be registered and in good standing with the Arkansas Secretary of State, and have an active registration with the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) at the time of contract award. The City encourages all qualified small, minority, and women business enterprises to bid and encourages general contractors to subcontract portions to these enterprises. The contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws, and other federal laws, including Build America, Buy America provisions. The City reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject bids, and postpone the award of any contract for up to ninety days from the bid opening date.
