Upgrade of generator fuel lines and fuel delivery systems at two VA campuses, including furnishing all labor, materials, supervision, and engineering. Work involves demolition and removal of existing fuel systems and installation of new underground and aboveground fuel oil piping, including excavation, backfill, and site restoration. Tasks include replacement of fuel transfer pumps and controllers, installation and integration of leak detection systems, implementation of seismic restraints for piping and equipment, and integration of new fuel management systems with existing building automation systems. Additional requirements include replacement of valving, pipe supports, controls, and associated electrical wiring, installation of a fuel polishing system, and commissioning of all new systems. The contractor must also perform traffic control, comply with infection control risk assessment (ICRA) requirements, properly dispose of materials and waste fuel, and restore any disturbed landscape, hardscape, or infrastructure. Work also includes removal of obsolete equipment, ensuring full system functionality, and thorough cleaning of the project areas upon completion.
