Construction of a complete and operable sodium hypochlorite chemical storage and feed facility at the Central Water Treatment Plant. The CONTRACTOR's scope of work under this Section generally includes the following: 1. Design, permitting, and construction of the Temporary Sodium Hypochlorite System. 2. Construction of a temporary stone base-on-grade for securing the Sulfuric Acid Tanks, metering pump and accessories. 3. Furnish and install two 3,000 gallon (operating volume) double walled sodium hypochlorite tanks. 4. Furnish and install one sodium hypochlorite duplex metering pump skid. 5. Pre-wired pump skid termination box mounted to the pump skid. 6. Leak detection systems to monitor the interstitial space in the double walled tanks (LS433A and LS433B). 7. Radar level transmitters (LT433A and LT433B) to monitor tank fluid levels. 8. Level gauges (LG433A and LG433B) to visual monitor tank fluid levels. 9. Furnish and install all necessary piping, pipe supports, and valves for a complete and operable system. 10. Furnish and install all necessary temporary electrical and control conduit and wiring of the temporary field instruments, temporary sodium hypochlorite metering pumps, and temporary control panel shown on the electrical and instrumentation drawings for a complete and operable system. 11. Coordination with the Division 17 instrumentation and control system subcontractor that will provide the Sodium Hypochlorite Temporary Control Panel (LCP-433, PLC433) to integrate the Temporary Sodium Hypochlorite System with the City's existing SCADA system.
