The scope of work consists of replacing pipe, fittings, and valves in the wet well and above grade enclosure. A protective coating will be applied within the wet well. The flow meter will be replaced. A duplicate pump will be purchased. Temporary pumping will be needed during the wet well rehabilitation. The telemetry system will be replaced. A minor amount of site work will be needed around the pump station. Bids must be signed and submitted on the blanks provided in the bid documents or copies thereof, enclosed in a sealed envelope marked with the project name, and delivered to the specified address prior to the deadline. Bidders must be listed on the Engineer's official list of plan holders, which requires ordering documents directly from the specified printing service. A bid guarantee instrument must be submitted with the bid, which can be a Bid Guarantee and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid or a certified check, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit for ten percent of the bid. If a check or letter of credit is used, the successful bidder will need to provide a Contract Bond for payment and performance for 100% of the contract amount.
