Renovation of a military facility in Rock Island, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 13,290-square-foot military facility.
Project Summary: The scope of this project consists of the repairs of the existing office building to consolidate multiple Garrison departments into one cohesive entity to improve efficiency and space usage to achieve the organization goals on the first floor of building 104 located at the US Army Garrison (USAG) Rock Island Arsenal (RIA). This project will consist of a Base Bid to repair existing +-13,290 square feet (s.f.) including demolition, minor abatement requirements, disposal and construction of multiple open offices, private offices and conference rooms on the building to provide required spaces for the Garrison departments to perform their duties on the first floor including the repair of stairwells on the first floor and basement to maintain adequate egress of the facility. Complete project scope requirements are detailed in the attached Drawings (Appendix B) and Specifications (Appendix A). PROJECT DESCRIPTION: U.S. Army Garrison (USAG) - Rock Island Arsenal (RIA) has a requirement for a construction project to repair the building (BLDG) 104 first floor and partial basement portion. The project will be in accordance with this Statement of Work (SOW) and attached specifications (Appendix A) and the attached plans (Appendix B). Appendixes and references herein shall be considered parts of this SOW and are considered fully enforceable parts of the contract. The Base Bid consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and material to perform repairs in accordance with this SOW and the appendixes. The Contractor shall provide complete demolition, located minor abatement, disposal and repairs of existing +- 13,290 square feet (s.f.) portion of the building. Repair by placement of new walls, new metal, wood and storefront doors, partial floor finishes and the repair of +- 9,510 square feet (s.f.) reflected ceiling tiles, repair of the entire first floor light fixtures, casework for (2) break and (1) nursing rooms, (92) blinds window covering, (6) 75" TV monitors displays, (8) fire extinguishers, (1) through wall storage depository safe, paint new & existing walls, (2) new storefront windows, relocate and store existing furniture, and the repair the four historical stairwells in basement and first floor northeast entry. Repairs of the plumbing include the installation of multiple drinking fountains. HVAC repairs include revisions to the duck work and the hot water heating systems to accommodate the new configuration. Repairs shall also include the revisions and extensions to power, data/comm and access control systems. Lighting revision shall include repair by replacement all lighting on the first floor.
