This project will consist of conceptual design services for the re-purpose of the Arroyo water feature and the re-design of the pedestrian corridor into a multi-use public space. The project is located between the Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum and Mesa Art Center Theatres, from Main Street to First Avenue. Design services will include programming, concept design (including master plan, concept exhibits, presentation boards, and renderings), phasing plan, cost estimating and participating in stakeholder and public meetings. Concept design to emphasis visual and technology integration, interactive and public art, lighting, flexible/movable spaces, city event space, outdoor dining, theatre programming, improvement of pedestrian circulation and re-imaging the landscape design. The Arroyo water feature has been inactive since approximately 2015 due to systematic leakage and deterioration. Project will eliminate the existing water feature. Project will also require due diligence and assessment of decommissioning or re-purposing the existing utility infrastructure and evaluating project utility requirements to support project for future needs. City may include other miscellaneous improvements at the Site, as needed.
