Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for site work for a water / sewer project; and for outdoor lighting for a water / sewer project.

The project includes construction of a of a 1.75 million gallon pre-stressed concrete water storage tank and associated appurtenances including dome access stairs, railing and trihalomethane removal system; yard piping and valving necessary to tie the new tank into the existing water main; new valve vault; site improvements including a new access road and modifications to the existing access road, new drainage and stormwater management systems, new fencing and site lighting; a new electrical service to the site and other electrical and communications work to support the new tank and equipment. The project includes subsequent demolition of the existing 3.3 million gallon welded steel water storage tank and associated appurtenances, including dome access stairs, below grade pipe chamber; abandonment of buried infrastructure including water main piping, drain piping and drainage structure, electrical conduit, and valve vault; demolition of above grade electrical enclosures, control panels, other above grade infrastructure; hazardous materials abatement and disposal, and excavation and disposal of contaminated soils. Contractors submitting a bid for this project shall hold a current Prequalification Certificate in the category of "Water Treatment Plants" or "Sewer and Water Lines" from the State of Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (DAS). A copy of the Contractor's DAS Prequalification Certificate and Update (Bid) Statement must be submitted with the bid.
