Site work for a water / sewer project in Punta Gorda, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
It is the intent to secure the services of a licensed, experienced contractor to furnish all material, labor, equipment, and all other associated appurtenances required to successfully complete the replacement of two new Brackish Water Filtration Reverse Osmosis Trains at the Burnt Store Water Treatment Facility, located at 17430 Burnt Store Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33955. Local licenses required: Certified/Registered General. This Project consists of providing two (2) new Brackish Water Filtration Trains and removing the existing ones. The Burnt Store WTP currently operates five (5) reverse osmosis production units, producing an estimated 3.25 million gallons of water per day (MGPD). The two (2) trains to be replaced (A & B) produce approximately 0.5 MGPD; the new ones shall be similar to the other three (3) big trains (C, D, & E), capable of producing 0.75 MGPD. Service descriptions: o Removal and disposal of Trains A & B o Removal and disposal of water pipes associated with Trains A & B o Removal of feed pumps o Removal of power wires, signal wires, and conduits o Removal of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) o Provide and install two (2) new Trains. This will include all necessary instrumentation and control for proper functionality o Install new stainless-steel pipes o Create a new base or foundation for new feed pumps o Install new feed pumps o Provide support to all pipes where necessary. o Provide any required upgrades to existing instrumentation controls o Make the proper integration for the SCADA controls o Provide and install new VFDs o Provide and install conduit, power, and communication wires to and from the control room and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) cabinets o Provide and install conduit, power, and communication wires to and from the PLC cabinet to respective Trains o Verify for leaks and proper function The Train replacements should also include, but not be limited to: o New 316L SS pipes o Provide all required instrumentation and controls, similar to Trains C, D & E o Engineering time for custom new equipment to match the existing setup Installation Services to be provided: o Bidder shall include a factory-trained and certified installation crew to electrically and mechanically install the new Trains. Installation services shall include time for a factory-direct representative to be on-site for the entire duration of the installation to confirm proper installation and operation after the retrofit is complete o Bidder will include onsite time for a factory-direct employee to perform startup and O&M training o Bidder shall perform modifications to controls, electronics, valves, actuators, pipe, or anything else related to the upgrade of Train A & B in this project o Bidder must provide controls upgrade for the operating system and coordinate with the County's SCADA and I&C technicians to ensure proper communication with the new updated components o Bidder must provide all the equipment necessary to successfully complete the installation and operation of the new Trains o Provide Charlotte County Utilities (CCU) personnel with training in the operation and maintenance of the new Trains o Develop or provide an Operation and Maintenance manual o Provide as-built diagrams o Provide documentation of any changes made to the PLC programs o Contractor will be responsible for safely disposing of any unwanted material coming out of this project
