This is a Lakewalk Reconstruction Project involving 2.2 miles of bituminous shared-use trail reconstruction along Lake Superior, including modular block retaining walls, cast-in-place structures, shoreline stabilization, lighting, and landscaping. Project includes reconstruction of 2.2 miles of bituminous shared-use trail, modular block retaining walls, cast-in-place structures, shoreline stabilization, and improvements to various community connectors to the Lakewalk, lighting, landscaping, and amenities. May require performance and payment bonds, prevailing wage compliance, and workforce certification requirements. All interested bidders are strongly encouraged to attend a pre-bid meeting and a site visit will follow the meeting. Questions are to be directed to the provided email address by the stated deadline; answers will be provided as an addendum. LOCATION: Duluth Lakewalk from Endion Station to 28th Avenue East between East Superior/London Road and the Lake Superior Shoreline QUESTIONS: Direct questions to Purchasing@DuluthMN.gov. Deadline to submit questions is 12:00 NOON on July 1, 2026. Answers will be provided in the form of an addendum. Start Date: August 10, 2026 Substantial Completion Date: September 10, 2027 Final Completion Date: October 15, 2027 Workforce goals for this project are 12% people of color and indigenous and 9% women.
