Site work for a power facility in Walsenburg, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a power facility.

Project work will safeguard eleven (11) coal mining related subsidence features near Walsenburg CO. Of the eleven (11) total features: nine (9) of will be backfilled, one (1) will be graded, and one (1) will be closed with a Monolithic Plug. This project requires that the contractor import material for backfilling with three (3) exceptions. Features W04 and 704 HL-06 are small enough to be filled with onsite material. 748 RH-03 will be backfilled with material from a nearby refuse pile. Once the features have been safeguarded, wattles will be installed along the downhill perimeter of each feature. The disturbed areas will be revegetated with a native seed mix and fertilizer. All features in this project are on private land and are, at most, one quarter (1/4) of a mile from a public road. Additional bid items (not guaranteed) include: ten (10) linear feet of wattles, five (5) cubic yards of rip rap, five (5) cubic yards of imported fill, and twenty (20) hours of machine time. Prospective Offerors may make written inquiries concerning the DQ to obtain clarification of requirements. Inquiries may be submitted to teresa.donaldson@state.co.us via email by Monday, June 15, 2026 at 4:00 PM MST. The project will not begin until all DRMS contracting agreements have been executed. The project is scheduled for construction between July 27, 2026, and September 24, 2026. This includes ten (10) calendar days mobilization time. These dates are tentative and may change The time of completion allowed for the project is sixty (60) calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. This includes ten (10) calendar days mobilization time. A Performance and Labor and Material Bond is required if the amount bid is $150,000.00 or greater. The Contractor shall furnish a Labor and Material bond for 100 percent of the original contract price and a Performance bond for 100 percent of the original amount of the Contract. The bonds are required by State Law, Title 24-105, 202-203, C.R.S., as amended. The bonds shall be submitted using the State forms. The State requests that the Surety and Contractor leave the date of the Contract found on the first page of each bond form blank and we will 'pen' in the date after the Controller executes the Contract. These bonds will be submitted along with the standard State Agreement form within 10 days of the "Notice of Intent to Award."
