The City of Kingsport is planning to construct a new Fire Station 2 adjacent to the current facility on Crescent Drive in Kingsport, Tennessee. The existing station, originally built in 1941, has reached the end of its useful life and will be replaced with a modern, multi-purpose building. The new facility will house an engine company, ladder truck, rescue unit, and battalion chief operations, along with firefighter living quarters, administrative offices, and a training room. The project is expected to be completed in a single phase and funded through local sources, with an estimated cost of $8 million
