The Porter Water Filter Plant Electrical Upgrade project includes furnishing and installing new electrical equipment to replace existing electrical equipment that has reached the end of its useful life or requires new functionality. The work involves a medium voltage switchgear, low voltage substation, transformers, motor control centers, motor replacement, variable frequency drives, and associated conductors, raceways, and ductbanks. Maintenance of plant operations and temporary power is required. General Construction will be completed as part of future City procurement. Bidders and the successful contractor must comply with the Delaware Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) Program Requirements, "Good Faith Efforts" for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), State of Delaware Prevailing Wage Rates and Davis Bacon Wage Rates (whichever is higher). A bid bond of 10% of the total bid is required. Bidders must comply with Presidents Executive Order No. 11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin.
