The objective of the project is to provide corrosion protection for water transmission pipelines at various locations. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, Alameda, San Mateo, and Santa Clara Counties, California. The majority of the contract scope involves C-57 work, and anode columns are to be installed at 19 different locations and through the aquifer without jeopardizing safety of drinking water. Subcontracting opportunities may include, but are not limited to, Traffic Control, Asphalt & Concrete Cutting & Coring, and Patch Paving. All Bidders shall submit documented Good Faith efforts with their Bids as directed on CMD Form 2B, except those who exceed the above-stated subcontracting requirement(s) by at least 35%. Bidders are required to pass the Safety Prequalification prior to SFPUC considering their bid submission complete. A Class “A” and Class “C-10” California Contractors License are both required to bid. Each listed subcontractor must possess appropriate active licenses for the work each subcontractor will be performing. LBE subcontractors must be certified with CMD in the scope of work they are being listed to perform. The Local Business Enterprise (LBE) subcontracting requirement is 7.00% and can only be met with CMD certified San Francisco Micro and Small-LBEs. PUC-LBEs, as well as Prime and Joint Venture level LBE participation, cannot be counted towards meeting the LBE subcontracting requirement(s). SFPUC encourages Bidders to complete the Safety Prequalification Web Form at least 3 weeks prior to the date of Bid opening in accordance with Section 00 21 13 – Instructions to Bidders.
