Collin College is seeking qualified proposals for the Frisco Campus Chilled and Heating Water Loop Extension. Work must be completed during Fiscal Year 2027, pending approval by the Board of Trustees. The project requires extreme coordination to ensure no disruption to campus heating or cooling needs. The campus must remain operational during normal business hours, so any planned temporary shutdowns must occur outside of those hours and be coordinated with the college at least two weeks in advance. Excavation will occur in various locations throughout the campus. The contractor is responsible for restoring the site to its original condition or better and bears responsibility for any underground utility or property damages. The contractor should perform due diligence to identify all underground utilities or obstructions. Contractors are expected to identify and propose value engineering opportunities. Proposals must include costs for double shifts and/or 7 day work weeks if needed to meet the project timeline, including work during specifically designated shut-down windows. A project schedule must be submitted with each proposal. Contractors must identify and inform the college about all long lead items (10 weeks or more). The intent of the project is to replace aging equipment and infrastructure, and to increase the cooling and heating capacity from the Central Utilities Plant. Apply for and provide all necessary documents required for successful permitting through the applicable governing body. B. Provision of a chilled and heating water system interconnector combining the existing North and East spines into a campus loop. C. Installation of (2) new main isolation valve junctions with surface operated groundhog type butterfly valves. D. Installation of approximately 540 linear feet of campus buried chilled and heating water piping, and associated revisions to property landscape and paving. E. Replacement and upsizing of approximately 370 linear feet of campus buried chilled and heating water piping, and associated revisions to property landscape and paving. F. Coordination of the piping route with existing utilities and below grade infrastructure such as irrigation, site lighting, etc. G. Perform all other work as specified in drawings and specifications H. Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) work may need to be done on nights and weekends after substantial completion date
