Several real property Farnham Ranges and Training Areas (Farnham RTA) are in very poor condition and do not comply with requirements due to their high energy consumption. This not only limits the Department of National Defence’s ability to respond effectively to the Canadian Armed Forces’ growing needs, but also hinders its ability to achieve Greening Government Strategy objectives. This project aims to optimize the Facility Condition Index as well as the performance of services related to infrastructure—both vertical (buildings) and linear (networks and roads)—in order to ensure efficient and proactive asset management. The Department of National Defence plans to carry out this work over a period of 4 to 10 years. The purpose of this project is to engage the services of a Contractor who will provide Construction Management services for the Pre-Construction and Construction phases. Major construction services may include, but are not limited to, activities such as: construction of new buildings; interior and exterior demolition, in the presence or absence of hazardous materials; interior renovation work; roof and exterior envelope repairs; structural work; addition and or replacement of electromechanical components; and civil engineering work. Bidders should ensure they are able to meet all required security clearances at the anticipated level for this contract and may need to begin the security clearance application process ahead of time if required.
