SCHOOL CODE: 640-0196 The scope of the work includes the re-roofing of Crisp County High School. Work includes, but is not limited to, partial removal of the existing roofing system, installation of new rigid roof deck insulation, new single ply roofing (PVC) system, metal flashing, metal wall panels and EIFS wall systems, windows and protective covers (canopies). Each bid shall be submitted on the prescribed BID FORM. All blank spaces for bid prices must be filled in, in ink or typewritten, in both words and figures, and the certification shall be completed and executed when submitted. No modifications to the bid form are allowed. At the specified time and place, submitted bids will be publicly opened and read. No extension of the bidding period will be made. Documents may be reviewed and/or obtained at the designated office. Electronic documents in .pdf format will be furnished at no cost to interested parties. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference is required for all bidders who will be submitting bids. The contract, if awarded, will be on a lump-sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after the opening date. Each bid must be accompanied by a BID BOND in an amount equal to 5% of the base bid, issued by a Surety authorized to do business in Georgia. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, both in amounts equal to 100% of the contract price, issued by a Corporate Surety authorized to do business in Georgia. All bids must comply with the terms of the Georgia Vendor Manual and applicable laws. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities.
