Construct East End Water Tower Recoating including all labor, materials and equipment necessary for spot repair, cleaning, priming and painting of entire exterior; cleaning, priming and painting tower dry area including underside of roof, landings, hatches, and piping except where covered with insulation; removal of all coating on interior wet area including dome, hatches, weir box, ladder, and piping, surface preparation and applying new coating to all surfaces; structural and related work; welding and grinding; wet ladder repair, waste disposal; ground surface restoration, and miscellaneous associated work including cleanup for the 150,000 gallon East End Water Tower. All proposals and bids shall be submitted to the City Clerk on official bidding blanks furnished by the City, and any alterations in the official form of proposal may result in rejection. Each proposal must be sealed and accompanied by bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid. All bidders must submit a fully completed Bidder Status Form as an essential attachment. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. The successful bidder must furnish a bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, guaranteeing faithful performance, payment of all materials and labor, and guaranteeing the work for two years after completion and acceptance by the City Council. All contractors must obtain tax exemption certificates from the City for this project. Work is to commence within ten days after written Notice to Proceed.
