Kline Township Municipal Authority is requesting bids for the construction of the 2026 Water Main Replacement Projects. The work includes: Phase A - replacing approximately 4,300 linear feet of cast iron and asbestos cement lined pipe with new 4-12 inch ductile iron pipe, 80 linear feet of 2-inch PE, 118 services, and 7 hydrants along various streets within Banks Township, Carbon County; Phase B - replacing approximately 3,000 linear feet of cast iron and asbestos cement lined pipe with new 4-8 inch ductile iron pipe, 10 linear feet of 2-inch PE, 52 services, and 4 hydrants along specified streets within McAdoo Borough and Kline Township, Schuylkill County; Phase C - replacing approximately 4,400 linear feet of cast iron and asbestos cement pipe with new 4-8 inch ductile iron pipe, 50 services, and 10 fire hydrants along specified routes within Kline Township, Schuylkill County. Bids are to be submitted electronically via PennBid. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference is required to bid. Bidders must comply with requirements regarding bid submittal, 10% bid security, qualifications, procedures, and contract award. Prime contractors must encourage Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) participation. Work must comply with Davis Bacon Act federal wage rates, American Iron and Steel requirements, Build America Buy America requirements, and Public Works Employment Verification Act. Only steel and iron products made in the United States may be used. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after the due date, except as otherwise provided by law.
