The New York State Thruway Authority seeks to retain a qualified engineering firm to provide construction inspection services for various construction projects in the Buffalo Division, with the primary assignment being Pavement Resurfacing from MP 425.9 to 427.7 & 900.0 to 900.7. Services may include but are not limited to: asphalt and concrete pavement reconstruction, resurfacing, or repairs; bridge, culvert, and retaining wall work; sign structure repairs; pavement marking installations; drainage and highway safety improvements; ITS repairs or installation; facility repairs and restoration; emergency work; material testing; permit (utility) work; work zone traffic control; review of shop drawings; plant and material inspection; and possible nighttime inspection. The consultant may be required to provide project engineers, office engineers, chief inspectors, inspectors of various NICET grades, and a part-time scheduler. The anticipated agreement value may be up to $8 million for a period of three years, with two possible one-year extensions at the Authority’s discretion, subject to available funding. Specific requirements for submission, including documentation, forms, staff qualifications, MWBE/SDVOB participation goals, and compliance with state laws and policies, must be met.
