The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: Demolition of the existing pedestrian bridge, pavements, and general site clearing. Improvements include furnishing and installing a new prefabricated pedestrian bridge on concrete abutments, concrete sidewalks, furnishing and installing playground equipment and safety surfacing, benches, picnic tables, and restoration and landscaping. Including all necessary appurtenances and restoration. Instructions to bidders: Sealed bids will be received at City Hall until the specified date and time. Drawings and specifications are available online or at the office of Prein&Newhof, and only accessible to active members of the Prein&Newhof Plan Room. Fees apply for hard copies and mailed documents. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier’s check payable to the City of Dowagiac in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety binds the bidder for sixty (60) days after receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding.
