PSPC requires replacement of the Dock Tunnel watermain at Esquimalt Graving Dock (EGD) in Victoria, BC. The project includes all labour, materials, and equipment to remove the existing watermain and install a larger one in the north and south service tunnels (confined spaces), including associated connections. Additional work includes replacing a section of the sanitary main, demolishing and installing new water service connections, upgrading firefighting connections, rerouting a compressed air line, replacing water meters, and installing monitoring instrumentation (e.g., SCADA-linked sensors). New pipe supports and full commissioning are also required. Work may begin upon contract award and must be fully completed, including cleanup, within 38 weeks. PSPC has a requirement for EGD Dock Tunnel Watermain Replacement. The work to completed includes the supply of all equipment, labour and materials necessary for the performance of the work. In general, the nature of work consists of, but is not limited to: - Removal of the existing watermain and the installation of a new, larger watermain in the same location in the Esquimalt Graving Dock (EGD) north and south service tunnels (a Low-Hazard Atmosphere confined space) and associated connections to existing pipes. - A section of existing sanitary main in the south tunnel is to be replaced to facilitate the replacement of the watermain. - Existing water service connections located on the service sills are to be demolished and new service connections are to be installed. - Removal and replacement of the fire-fighting connections routed up to grade, rerouting of existing compressed air line at north access chamber to facilitate the installation of the new watermain, removal and replacement of water meters, installation of new valve status sensors, pressure sensors and flow switches connected to SCADA, new pipe supports, including but not limited to, pipe thrust restraints, seismic restraint, guides, and hangers, and commissioning of all work.
