The project involves the furnishing of all materials, labor, equipment, tools, etc., unless otherwise specified, for the complete renovation of the Audubon (220 GPM) and Glenn View (300 GPM) submersible lift stations. The description provided is not to be construed as a complete description of all work required. Each bidder must be licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes and comply with the provisions of the North Carolina Contractor's Licensing Act of 1925, as amended. All bids must include a non-collusion affidavit. The project must be substantially completed within 330 consecutive calendar days and fully completed within 360 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a deposit of cash or a certified or cashier's check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the FDIC, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount, made payable to the City of Durham. Alternatively, a bid bond in the same amount executed by a corporate surety authorized in North Carolina may be provided. The City of Durham reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to disregard nonconforming or conditional bids, and to select the bid that is in the best interest of the City.
