The project is for the replacement of the Speegleville Bridge over the Middle Bosque, involving the reconstruction of approximately 0.54 miles of bridge and roadway on Speegleville Road from Maple Shade Road to north of Oak Road in Waco, McLennan County, Texas. It includes reconstructing about 2,200 linear feet of roadway and adding additional northbound and southbound lanes for a four-lane roadway separated by a striped median. The bridge work consists of building two separate bridges over the Middle Bosque River, each 670 feet in length. The project also involves construction of about 1,500 linear feet of storm drainpipes and culverts, as well as pedestrian sidewalks on both the east and west sides of the roadway.
