Site work and addition to a fitness / recreation center in Bonnyville, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a 40,000-square-foot, one-story above grade fitness / recreation center.
Plans for the addition of a new Field House to the existing Field House at the Centennial Centre. The proposed new Field House will be an approximately 40,000-square-foot steel structure with a ceiling height of about 45-50 feet. It will connect to the existing heating, cooling, and HVAC systems, with any additional work and equipment required to complement the current systems. Washrooms and change rooms will be designed and constructed to support large events in the existing Field House and team events in the new Field House. The plans also include a 200-metre, four-lane running track and three or four dedicated pickleball courts in a designated area. Curtains will enclose the court area without interfering with the track. TIMELINE: A Request for Quotation for Architectural and Prime Consultant services has been issued by the owner. Complete scope of work and schedules for design and construction may be confirmed late summer/fall 2026. *Budget is unreleased.
