Dudley Shoals Elementary School Access Road and Parking Construction Project The Caldwell County Board of Education is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the construction of a new access road and parking area at Dudley Shoals Elementary School, located in Granite Falls, North Carolina. Project Description The project consists of the construction of approximately 1,706 linear feet of new asphalt access road, associated grading and earthwork, parking area construction, circular turnaround, pavement markings, and related site improvements. Work must be completed prior to August 10, 2026 Scope of Work The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Construction of approximately 1,706 linear feet of new asphalt access road. Grading and earthwork required for roadway construction and appropriate drainage. Locate utilities as necessary. Hauling, placement, and compaction of fill dirt available within one-half (1/2) mile of the project site. Construction of approximately: o 1,155 linear feet of 15-foot-wide roadway. o 551 linear feet of 30-foot-wide roadway. Construction of an adjacent asphalt parking area measuring approximately 108 feet by 42 feet. Construction of a circular turnaround with an approximate circumference of 236 feet.
