Site work and renovation of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Vestal, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a elderly care / assisted living facility; and for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility.
Removal and replacement of existing deck structure. Broome DDSOO is seeking a contractor to remove an existing wooden deck and replace it with a concrete patio. The successful bidder shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to the below scope of work and general requirements. SCOPE OF WORK Remove existing wooden deck and (see attached pictures). 2. Excavate an area approximately 12'X20' to accommodate 6" of crusherrun.Contractor responsible for verifying all field dimensions. Lay down and tamp 6" of crusher run gravel . Crusher run shall be laid down and compacted in no more than 3" lifts. Concrete walkway shall be a minimum of 6" 4500psi concrete and shall be reinforced with welded wire mesh (6" x 6" # 10). Wire mesh shall be supported during the pour so as to be located midway in the pad . Air shall be entrained in the concrete to no less than 4% of the volume of the total pour and no more than 8% Concrete shall be brought up high enough that the step up into the egress door meets NYS building code . Slab shall be pitched away from the building, but pitch shall be no greater then that allowed by the American's With Disabilities Act requirements. Patio shall have control joints approximately 6.5' length wise for a total of three and one control joint at 8' that divides the entire length of the slab. The result should divide the 12' x 20' slab into six sections that are each 6.5' x 6' . With broom finish . Patio shall be kept physically separate from foundation via expansion joint or other method approved by listed contact Patio shall be pinned to foundation underneath the egress door. 10. Wooden railings around the entire patio need to be removed and replaced with 42 inch tall Envision Fairway aluminum railings and spindles mounted to the concrete surface. 11. Contractor shall be responsible for providing coverings, additives, or anything else necessary to get walkway to properly cure in inclement weather. 12. Walkway shall be sealed with a penetrating sealer as soon as allowed by manufacture directions. Sealer shall be approved by facility personal and shall be rated to protect the concrete from the effects of ice melt. 13. All work done shall comply with NYS building code and all other applicable codes. 14. Contractor shall clean up and remove all construction related debris. Contractor shall warrantee all materials and labor for a period of one year from when the job is paid
