This project consists of extending water main along Military Rd (from Key West Dr to SW Arterial), SW Arterial (from Military Rd to Tamarack Dr), and Tamarack Dr (from SW Arterial to Silverwood Dr) to create a loop in the south extents of Pressure Zone 3. The water main extension is approximately 9,500 ft of 16-in water main, including a crossing under the SW Arterial and a storage connection at the proposed Water Tower Military Rd project. The water main extension provides a water main loop from Key West Dr, along the SW Arterial, to the Crossroad Industrial Park, Tamarack Industrial Park, to the water main connection at US Highway 151/61. The water main will be supported by the elevated Water Tower Military Rd Project to improve supply redundancy and resiliency for the south part of Pressure Zone 3, which also supplies water to Pressure Zones 6 and 7 (Airport area). The project is included in the City's 2027-2032 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
