The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT), Housing NWT is requesting tenders from qualified contractors to replace windows on a clients home in Fort Providence, NT. Address: Fort Providence, NT 1. The Contractor shall be responsible for all material and labour to complete the project. 2. The Contractor shall supply and install new triple glazed, low-e, argon filled PVC windows. The windows shall be casements or picture casements ensuring bedroom windows meet egress requirements stated in the National Building Code. 3. The Livingroom window shall have a casement on either side complete with picture windows similar to the existing. 4. The bedroom windows shall meet Egress requirements of the current edition of the National Building Code. 5. The basement windows shall also meet egress requirements. 6. New windows shall have self-adhering window flashing around the entire opening and drip cap flashing on the exterior. The windows shall have renovator brickmolds. 7. The interior shall be finished with FJP jamb extensions and 2 1/4 " FJP window casing on the interior. All trim to be primed and then finished with two coats of paint. 8. The Contractor shall ensure the space around windows filled with Low expanding spray foam insulation and inspected prior to the trim being installed. The windows shall be caulked with an exterior grade silicone between the brickmold and siding and the appropriate drip cap flashing installed above all windows. The Contractor shall always keep the entire site clean and the owner shall be given the option to keep windows and if homeowner declines it is the responsibility of the contractor to dispose of them.
