Replacement of guide rails at the municipal complex. The Township of Old Bridge is seeking proposals for the removal of approximately 60 linear feet of wood guide rail and the supply, delivery and installation of approximately 160 linear feet of Merritt Parkway type steel-backed timber guide rail . The existing guiderail is located within the Old Bridge Township Municipal Complex, 1 Old Bridge Plaza Old Bridge New Jersey 08857, adjacent to the Tennis Court, see Figure 1 Project Location Map Scope of Work The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and incidentals necessary to remove existing guide rail and install new Merritt Parkway Type Steel-Backed Timber Guide Rail at the project location. The work is to generally consists of the following: 1. Mobilization One (1) time complete mobilization for the project site. Contractor required to provide traffic control measures as required during the removal of the existing guiderail and installation of the new guide rail. Measures may include providing traffic drums, cones, signage, trained flaggers 2. Removal of Existing Guide Rail Remove approximately sixty (60) linear feet of existing wood guide rail and associated appurtenances as necessary to facilitate installation of the new guide rail system. Post holes are to be filled and compacted Dispose of all removed materials off-site in accordance with applicable regulations. Photos of the existing wood guiderail have been provided for review.
