The Utilities Operations Facility was constructed in 1997 and requires routine equipment replacements and interior improvements as a result of age and "every-day" wear. Over the past 20 years, the facility has been subject to interior improvements that have included flooring replacements, HVAC units, plumbing/bathroom fixtures, lighting, and fire/HVAC control systems. This request will account for the continued maintenance of the HVAC system and will include replacement of three (3) HVAC units ($40,000), replacement of the fresh air make-up unit ($50,000), upgrades the HVAC control system as a result of obsolete technology ($65,000), and ancillary items applicable to the duct work and ventilation systems ($20,000). This request will also account for elevator upgrades ($250,000) in order to comply with the Florida Building Code. All facility upgrades and improvements have been recommended and coordinated through the Community Services Department - Facilities Maintenance. As of June 26, 2026, this project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Further information regarding a design firm and timeline for construction has not yet been established.
