Site work and renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.

Jacking of girders of Spans 3 & 4 at Pier 3. Installation of replacement bearing assembly. Cleaning and painting of all bridge bearing assemblies. Concrete repairs and special surface finish to exposed concrete substructures. Provision of traffic control and permitting. The Work of this Contract is at the following location . The Work will be located on Metro Transit controlled property with access from State property. 1. Bridge 27878, Blue Line LRT over I-35W in Minneapolis , MN. The project includes maintenance repairs for Bridge 27878 on the METRO Blue Line LRT systems. The Work for this Project includes, but is not limited to the following: B. 1. At Bridge 278787, the CONTRACTOR will jack the girders of Spans 3 and 4 at Pier 3, install a new bearing assembly atop Pier 3 and service all remaining bearing assemblies. CONTRACTOR will clean and paint all bearing assemblies. 2. Additionally, the CONTRACTOR will make concrete repairs and provide a surface finish to all exposed areas of the concrete substructures of Bridge 27878 LRT & wingwalls. 3. The CONTRACTOR will supply the necessary traffic control and obtain permitting from MnDOT, Hennepin County, City of Minneapolis , Metro Transit, and any other permitting organizations. 4. Hours of construction for work below the deck will be defined by traffic control permit restrictions. 5. The Blue Line LRT will be shutdown and the CONTRACTOR will have access to the NB and SB LRT track bays during this shutdown . The CONTRACTOR shall perform the jacking of Spans 3 and 4 at Pier 3 during this shutdown time period. The CONTRACTOR shall not interfere with active LRT operations This CONTRACTOR shall coordinate its activities and cooperatively work with all other contractors retained by the COUNCIL to work on or adjacent to this Project and/or this site. 1. MnDOT Bridge Replacement over 35W at University Ave & 4th St. The MCUB participation goal for this contract is 3% The Work of the Project shall be Substantially Completed not later than June 5, 2027. The Work of the Project shall be Fully and Finally Completed not later than November 1 , 2027.
