The Virginia Department of Transportation is seeking statements of qualifications for the Culpeper Bundle Design-build Project from qualified and experienced respondents with design and construction experience of highway facilities. This design build bundle consists of five elements in Culpeper County and the Town of Culpeper, Virginia, all of which are part of a single procurement and will be awarded as a single contract. The five elements are: (1) converting the existing signalized intersection at US 15 Business/US 522/Rte. 3 to a single lane roundabout and constructing a five-foot-wide sidewalk along the east side of US 15 Business and south side of US 522; (2) converting the existing unsignalized intersection of Rte. 229 and Rte. 621 to a single lane roundabout; (3) constructing a new five-foot-wide sidewalk along Old Brandy Road from US 15/29 Business to the existing sidewalk across from the Town of Culpeper Police Department; (4) reconstructing the existing signalized intersection of US 15/29 Business and Rte. 694 to a hybrid roundabout and constructing a shared-use path along the north side of US 15/29 Business; and (5) converting the existing signalized intersection at Rte. 229 and Rte. 694 to a hybrid roundabout. The scope includes all work required for project management, design, and construction of the project.
