Renovation of an educational facility in Montgomery, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
Corridor refresh project involving interior finishes and general building improvements. The Contractor will complete the total scope of work for this project to include, but not limited to the following: 1st Floor Corridor: The Work includes uninstalling and disposing of wall mounted pictures, flooring, base, suspended acoustical ceiling system and light fixtures. In the restrooms uninstalling and disposing of light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, handrails and floor mounted fan coils are included in work. New work includes furnishing and installing new flooring, base, wainscot panels, suspended acoustical ceiling system, lighting, plumbing fixtures, water fountains with bottle fillers and HVAC. The Work also includes painting as well as uninstalling, staining, and reinstalling corridor doors. The doors also get new hardware. This excludes the President's Suite door, to which all others are to match. Marketing Department: In the executive offices of the Marketing Department, the work includes removing flooring, relocating one door, creating one cased opening, altering the door swing of an existing door, removing existing ceiling tiles, relocating electrical power and relocating data outlets. It also includes new HVAC, paint and flooring. The work for the expansion of the Marketing Department includes but is not limited to removing and disposing of flooring, base, suspended ceiling system, doors, door frames, electrical power, lighting, floor mounted fan coils and piping. New work includes but is not limited to new flooring, base, acoustical suspended ceiling system, doors, door frames, interior partitions and gypsum board soffits. It also includes refinishing plaster walls, preparing, priming and painting walls and door frames as well as HVAC installed throughout, electrical power distribution with power outlets and infrastructure for new data outlets. The Studio includes Unistrut metal framing for hanging owner provided studio lighting. The work in these areas also includes uninstalling, staining, and reinstalling the entry doors as well as replacing the hardware. Mechanical Room The work for the new mechanical room includes but not limited to, selective demolition involving removal and disposing of a moveable partition, flooring, suspended ceiling system and light fixtures, and floor mounted fan coil unit with HVAC piping, and new work that includes new flooring and base, new partitions, flooring, preparing and painting walls, and electrical power distribution. The work in this area also includes uninstalling, staining, and reinstalling the entry door as well as replacing the hardware. Pay applications, change estimates, change orders, etc. will be required for this project. The Pay applications and Schedule of Values will be specific to Divisional breakdowns and no single SOV line item shall be greater than $50,0000. Project retainage shall be broken down into and separated by SOV item and subsequent total provided. Project retainage shall be 5% on the first 50% of the value of the work completed
