Alief Independent School District is seeking Competitive Sealed Proposals from qualified proposers to provide construction services for the EV Charging Infrastructure at the Alief Transportation Center located at 6150 Synott Rd, Houston, TX 77083. The scope of work consists of providing a complete functioning EV install DC fast charging infrastructure as per the drawings and specifications. Proposers must register and log in to access bid information. Proposals must be submitted electronically through the bidding portal. Faxed, emailed, hard copy, or late proposals will not be accepted. Question Deadline 08/04/2026 at 2:00 PM CT Deadline for submitting questions. online submission Thomas Bus has recommended the use of Autel chargers; therefore, the electrical design has been developed based on the electrical requirements of the Autel charging equipment, including charger capacity, conductor sizing, overcurrent protective devices, raceways, and associated infrastructure. The use of alternative charging equipment may require revisions to the electrical design and could necessitate additional plan review and approval. Before inclusion in the project specifications, the proposed charging system shall be demonstrated to meet or exceed all specified performance requirements, electrical characteristics, physical space requirements, and charging capacities established for the project. A Contractor's request to substitute the specified Autel EV charging system with an alternate charging system shall be accompanied by complete documentation demonstrating that the proposed equipment meets or exceeds all project requirements. The electrical design was developed based on the electrical characteristics and requirements of the Autel charging equipment recommended by Thomas Bus, including charger ratings, conductor sizing, overcurrent protective devices, raceways, grounding, communications, and associated infrastructure. Any deviation from the basis-of-design equipment may impact the electrical design and require modifications to the contract documents. As part of the substitution request, the Contractor shall provide documentation verifying that the proposed charging system: 1. Meets or exceeds all performance requirements of the specified Autel system. 2. Has equivalent or lower load demand characteristics. 3. Does not require increases in conductor sizes, overcurrent protective devices, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical infrastructure. 4. Meets all physical space, mounting, and clearance requirements shown on the drawings. 5. Maintains compatibility with the Thomas electric buses and any required fleet management software. 6. Complies with all project specifications, codes, and utility requirements.
