Description

New construction of a transportation facility in Seattle, Washington. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a transportation facility.

Adding two stations to Sounder South. Sounder South will extend south from Lakewood, adding new stations at Tillicum and DuPont, both with parking. The new stations will help provide service to Joint Base Lewis-McChord as well as to residents and businesses in south Pierce County. As of June 25, 2026, this project is in the early conceptual phase. It has been voter approved. No design firm has been chosen and a timeline for construction has not been established. The new link is not expected to be completed and in service until 2045.
