The upgrade will expand the facility to approximately 19,100 square feet and include larger drive-through bays for full-size fire engines, additional bunk rooms increasing from two to ten, and space to support 24-hour staffing for fire and ambulance services. The project will also include areas for police investigations and is aimed at modernizing an aging facility originally built in 1974 and expanded in 1986.
